Traditional ayurvedic food supplement made from the holy Indian basil called Tulsi

Tulsi, also known as holy basil (Ocimum sanctum, syn. Ocimum tenuiflorum), is an annual plant that grows up to 1 metre high. It is characterised by many finely hairy branches and woody shoots at the base, on which are spikes of white to reddish flowers 6-8 cm long. The leaves, seeds and roots of this plant are used in Ayurvedic nutrition. The powder from the leaves is carefully and gently ground (below 40°C) and comes from fair trade and organic projects in India and Sri Lanka.

According to the principles of Ayurveda, this product is designed to support the harmonious balance of the doshas by balancing the six flavours. It provides the spicy and bitter flavours.

Consumption recommendation: Take 4 level spoonfuls twice a day between meals. Pour boiling water over it, leave to infuse briefly and drink warm. The daily intake of 2g herbal powder contains 61.98mg polyphenols (bioactive, secondary plant substances that shape the Dosha character of the plants in the form of colourings, flavourings and tannins).

Ingredients: Ocimum sanctum (Tulsi), ground from the leaves, from certified organic cultivation.
