Ayurvedic dish à la India - quick & easy to prepare
The ideal dish when you want it to be not only quick but also delicious. Made from natural ingredients, finely seasoned with spices and a touch of chilli, kitchari is not only delicious, it also makes your stomach happy.
Preparation: Put one portion (80 g) in a saucepan, bring to the boil briefly with 300 ml water and put the lid on, simmer on low heat for 20 - 30 minutes. Add ghee or oil to taste and season with salt. Tastes especially delicious with fresh spinach or broccoli. Simply bring to the boil together with the kitchari and let it cook.
Ingredients: Basmati rice 55.8%, mung beans 27.9%, sweet pepper 3.7%, carrots 3.7%, tomatos 3.7%, coriander leaves, turmeric, fennel, cumin, ginger, coriander, chili 0.3%, pippali (long pepper), black pepper (all ingredients are certified organic).
